April - June 2005 Komang Arnawa is an ambassador of ‘fitness’. Throughout his career as a natural bodybuilder, Komang has regularly offered training and nutritional advice to people who are working towards their own fitness goals.
Becoming a Pro World Champion takes years of disciplined training, a strict consistent approach to diet and nutrition and a strong belief in yourself. Realistically speaking, it also requires a substantial financial commitment and this is often the primary obstacle obstructing the birth of future Indonesian champions. When in Bali, Komang works together with the local community of bodybuilders to ensure that their knowledge of the sport and competition is sufficient to ensure that when funding is obtainable, all athletes are fully prepared for competition and a real threat to their contenders. He believes that his country Bali, and ‘home grown’ athletes have what it takes to become champions on the world stage and secure Indonesia’s reputation as a nation of great bodybuilders.
